(WKBW/ABC News) How seriously do you take your football? A new report says die-hard fans may be at risk of dying if their team loses the Super Bowl.

Researchers found in the two weeks after the Los Angeles Rams lost to the Steelers in Super Bowl XIIII, death rates among Los Angeles residents went up, particularly among those over age 65.

Yet, when the Los Angeles Raiders won Super Bowl XVIII in the next
two weeks, there was no increase in LA death rates. In fact, death rates went down among women and those age 65 and older.
