(WKBW/ABC) You know about the dangers of salmonella in human food, but a new study warns that it can be in dry dog and cat food, too, and you don't even have to eat it to get it sick from it.

Health experts say salmonella on pet food can turn up in your home and kitchen, and when you feed your dog or cat.

It can get on your hands, and if you are not careful, into your body.

They recommend keeping pet bowls clean and a good hand washing, after feeding your animal.
