(WKBW/YALE) Listen up red meat eaters! A new study shows eating lots of red meat may increase risk of esophageal and stomach cancer.

Previous studies have confirmed that a certain compound produced when red meat is cooked at a high temperature, like in the roasting or grilling process, has already been recognized as a human carcinogen.

Researchers say eating dinner early and lowering salt and iron intake may help reverse the cancer-causing effect.
