Pregnancy Weight Affects Baby's Health

(WKBW/CNN) When you're pregnant, it's tempting to eat an extra cookie or dive into the ice cream, but gaining too much weight during pregnancy can have life-long consequences on your child's weight.
A new study shows women who gained more than 50 pounds during pregnancy were more than twice as likely to give birth to a heavy baby, than moms who gained a healthier 20 pounds.
And researchers say heavy babies often grow up to be overweight children and in turn, heavy adults.
