(WKBW/CNN) Some people bite them, most of us file them, others prefer to paint them, but did you know our nails can sometimes offer clues to our health?
Doctors say the condition of your fingernails can signal a lot of health issues.
Liver disease, kidney disease, anemia, and heart disease can all change the color or thickness of nails, but infection the most common nail disorder.
To prevent that, doctors say keep your nails clean and dry, and cut them flat. Infection is more likely when nails are trimmed at an angle on the sides.
