(WKBW/ABC) We're back to steamy weather here in Western New York, and for the elderly or chronically ill, it can be downright dangerous. Too hot outside, too warm and stuffy inside.
A lot of people don't have air conditioning to stay cool, and medical experts warn that those with serious medical issues can find their problems become more critical if they become overheated.
They say the heat can counteract with medication for high blood pressure and send it soaring. Doctors recommend those at risk to head to an air conditioned building.
