BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) - February is Heart Month, and this year the American Heart Association celebrates a decade since kicking off its Go Red For Women movement.

It's a campaign that uses the color of your heart to raise awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of women. It can affect any one of us at any age.

A Buffalo woman never expected to have heart problems, especially at age 23, but that's when she received a scary diagnosis. Doctors found a hole in her heart, and she needed surgery right away.

Less than five months later, Victoria Roberts was married. Today, she and her husband have a baby girl. That's something she never expected because of her weakened heart, but since the operation, her heart has repaired itself. Watch the story to find out how she has changed her outlook on life.
