(WKBW/CNN) Failing grades for fast food! Yale researchers say there are are too many unhealthy options for kids.

Their study found that only 12 of 3000 possible kids' meal combinations at fast food restaurants met nutritional guidelines for pre-schoolers.

Some of the worst offenders include KFC's Popcorn Chicken kids meal, served with a biscuit, soda and a side of string cheese -- totaling 840 calories.

A healthier option is from Subway. The "Veggie Delite," sandwich, paired with apple slices and 100-percent juice is only 285 calories.
