(WKBW/ABC) Researchers stumble on a new way to save the lives of cancer patients.

They found those who took one low-dose aspirin a day for their heart also cut the death rate from cancer.

The most dramatic decrease was in gastrointestinal cancer.

For every 46 people who took aspirin every day for 5 years, one life was saved, but researchers say there are risks to taking a daily aspirin and say it should be discussed with your doctor.
