Can Your Deodorant Cause Cancer?

It's a debate that's been circulating for more than ten years. Can your deodorant cause cancer or any other diseases?

Most of the concern is over antiperspirants that contain powerful astringents such as aluminum, which prevent sweating by blocking the pores.

It is the aluminum build up that is often claimed to behind Alzheimer's disease or breast cancer.

Deodorants neutralize sweat and prevent odor, and are preferred over antiperspirants because they don't block sweating.

So far, there is no scientific proof that antiperspirants increase risk of Alzheimer's or breast cancer, but researchers say more study is needed.
