(WKBW/CLEVELAND CLINIC) It's that time! Western New York kids are starting to head back to class and that can mean the start of some painful headaches for some students.
According to the American Headache Society, as many as 10% of children may suffer from migraine headaches. Doctors say the headaches are often caused by children putting a tremendous amount of pressure on themselves to succeed. They recommend parents talk with their children about what's causing the headache and not rely on over-the-counter pain medications to fix the problem.
Experts say teenagers should not be using those medications more than 2 times each week. They say your child should see their doctor, if they are having more than 2 headaches a week.
