Three blockbuster musicals currently playing to sold-out audiences on Broadway headline the most anticipated season in recent memory at Shea's Performing Arts Center.

The M&T Bank 2018-2019 Broadway Series takes flight in Buffalo on August 8th when Disney's Aladdin takes audiences for a magical carpet ride through Agrabah. The show, based on the 1992 animated classic, will light up the stage at Shea's for a nearly two week run.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory serves up a golden ticket to Buffalo audiences in September. The toe-tapping musical features songs from the original film such as "Pure Imagination" and "The Candy Man," along with a fresh new score from the team behind Hairspray. Like Finding Neverland in 2016 and On Your Feet! in 2017, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - which recently ended its Broadway run - will launch its national tour right here in Buffalo, bringing its cast and crew to town for an extended stay in the Queen City.

The true highlight of the season arrives November 29th, when Hamilton - the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton - opens for a nearly three-week run in Buffalo. The score is considered a musical masterpiece, blending R&B, rap, hip-hop, jazz and Broadway. Patrons who purchased season tickets for this season at Shea's will get first crack at tickets for Hamilton, which has a months-long waiting list for a seat to the Broadway production.

Dear Evan Hansen, which won the Tony Award for Best Musical last year and, like Hamilton, continues to play to standing room only audiences on the Great White Way, caps off the Broadway series in May 2019.

Three musicals with large fan bases make up the new season's special engagements: Cats, the 20th Anniversary Tour of Rent, and The Book of Mormon.
