Williamsville Spelling Star

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD ( WKBW ) A Williamsville, NY teenager was a spelling star, making it to the final round in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Even though 13 year old Nabeel Rahman of East Amherst was eliminated in the final round, he was one of 13 finalists who made it to the final round of the competition.

Nabeel is a 7th grade student at Casey Middle School.

This is his second consecutive year at the National Spelling Bee.

14 year old Sukanya Roy from Pennsylvania was the big winner of this year's national spelling bee.
