BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) It was a party all the way from Elmwood Avenue down to Canalside Sunday.
Thousands of people lined the streets watching the colorful floats and parade participants march from Elmwood and Lafayette down to the waterfront.
The event marked a weekend full of Gay Pride Festival events, in support of the LGBT community.
Many held signs with messages of support for equal rights, and anti-bullying. Many local high schools played a role in spreading that important message.
Jorien Brock, Director of the Pride Center of WNY told Eyewitness News that pride events help send the message of diversity, acceptance for all, and a special message for teens to stop bullying.
Channel 7's John Borsa was MC for the Canalside events.
