BUFFALO, N.Y ( WKBW ) Imagine a handbag worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars in your possession for a fraction of the cost...with the money going to charity.
That is what the "Handbag Happy Hour" is all about...a great event to benefit the Everywoman Opportunity Center.
Heidi Raphael stopped by Channel 7's "Eyewitness News This Morning" to tell Patrick Taney, Ginger Geoffery, and Business First reporter Elizabeth Carey all about it!
The Handbag Happy Hour showcases premier designer, celebrity, distinctive and “previously loved” purses for live and silent auction. This unique, one-of-a-kind (in Buffalo) cocktail event will attract trendy divas throughout Western New York who hope to walk away with a fabulous designer purse or a celebrity “previously loved” handbag for only a fraction of the price. It is a fun and fashionable way to raise crucial funds to help several women in our community.
The price of the event is only $50 and includes admission, two complimentary drink tickets, hors d’ oeuvres and the opportunity to bid on the handbags.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Everywoman Opportunity Center (EWOC), a nonprofit 501 © (3) corporation whose mission is to help women throughout Western New York achieve personal and economic self-sufficiency.
