BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) It is going to be a busy few weeks for Miss Niagara. Desiree Wiley, a graduate of Buffalo State College and Lockport native, is competing in the Miss New York State pageant next week in Staten Island.
The competition isn't all about beauty.
Desiree's platform supports the push for organ and blood donations.
She told Patrick Taney and Ginger Geoffery on "Eyewitness News This Morning" that there is much work ahead.
In addition to her talent for dancing, Desiree is also crusading for organ donor awareness.
Desiree is also an intern at WKBW. The Miss New York State Pageant ends on Saturday June 16th, with a new winner crowned that night.
