Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) - This morning, the Buffalo Spree's Darwin McPherson previewed two more plays coming to the Buffalo Area! Here is more information:






Lancaster NY- Rocking Horse Productions presents Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR® DREAMCOAT at the Lancaster Opera House, May 31-June 15, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm.

Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Weber with lyrics by Tim Rice, the Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.

Directed by Leigha Eichhorn, the show stars Matthew Mooney, Chelsea Correa, Jessica Hall, Melissa Leventhal, Bill Group, Greg Hennessey and Chris Andreana.

Tickets are $22 (adults), $20 (students & seniors). The LOH Box Office is open Monday through Friday 9:30pm to 4:00pm, and one hour before curtain on show nights. Second Generation Theatre Company presents INTO THE WOODS







Buffalo, NY- Second Generation Theatre (SGT) is a company committed to creating quality productions right here in Western new York. Founded by three graduates of the SUNY Buffalo theatre program, SGT is building on the strong theatre roots in the area and creating a collaborative environment for both the tenured professionals and rising talent in the area.




SGT's founders are Kristin Bentley, Kelly Jakiel Copps and Arin Lee Dandes. All graduates of the SUNY Buffalo theatre program, SGT's founders hail from a variety of backgrounds and performance experience.




Our premiere production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony award-winning musical INTO THE WOODS will be produced at the New Phoenix Theatre on the Park. Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim with a book by James Lapine, INTO THE WOODS is a magical, exciting and heartwarming piece of theatre.




"Once upon a time in a far off kingdom, lived a fair maiden, a sad young lad, and a childless baker with his wife..."
Featuring some of Buffalo's favorite performers, this special production is brought to you by Director Chris Kelly, Choreographer Bobby Cooke, and Music Director Allan Paglia.
