HAMBURG, N.Y. ( WKBW ) Every week, Channel 7's Mike Randall surprises a "Teacher Of The Week" on Eyewitness News This Morning.

Meet Sue Kuczewicz from St. Mary of the Lake School in Hamburg.

She was our "Teacher Of The Week" for Friday March 23, 2012.

Here is the touching nomination description:

I would like to nominate Sue Kuczewicz from St. Mary of the Lake School in Hamburg as Teacher of the Week. Ms. Kuczewicz is a wonderful, caring teacher and has been at the school for over 9 years. She is currently the 4th grade teacher, 5th grade math teacher, assistant principal, after school care supervisor and Youth Group moderator.

As the mother of a child with a learning disability, I have come to realize how important it is to have a teacher who goes above and beyond the usual means to make sure that each and every child learns and understands the concept being taught. It's not unusual to find the class singing, dancing, clapping or making up a pneumonia so that each child, in their own way, understands, is confident and proud of themselves.

Ms. Kuczewicz is a selfless individual who cares for each an every student at St. Mary of the Lake School. She understands that children are unique and learn at their own pace. For me personally, she is irreplaceable. The proof is in my sons excitement and enthusiasm as well as his grades.

Ms. Kuczewicz deserves this award. We are blessed to have her as she plays a critical role in the development of so many precious minds at St. Mary of the Lake School.
