Grand Island, N.Y. (WKBW) - Santa coming down the chimney is truly a site to see.
“It's a magical place it brings Christmas back to everybody,” Customer Nancy Alspaugh said.
From that magic, to the smell of homemade chocolate to specialty holiday knick knacks, Kelly Country Store has it all.
“My great grandparents Walt and Grace started this back in 1962,” Public Relations Director Amanda Diamond said.
All the Christmas spirit you can handle is felt when you walk into the holiday room.
“We are very famous for our Christmas room where Santa comes down the chimney and there are lots of antiques on display back there,” Diamond said.
Little Matthew, 3, and Nathan, 1, Lotz are enjoying everything Kelly's has to offer with their grandparents, hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa.
“We're waiting for Santa, what is Santa going to bring you for Christmas. A tractor,” Alspaugh said.
You can not only sit on Santa’s lap and see him come down the chimney but this weekend there is something extra special going on.
“This weekend Santa is brining special guests. He is bringing two of his reindeer. They are going to be out in our Christmas tree lot. People can come take pictures and pet them. They are super friendly but they have to be kept on a leash so they don't go flying all over the parking lot,”
Mason, 2, got his first taste of candy here at the store.
Kelly's has been a staple in the community for decades.
“I've been shopping here for 50 years. I love the old decorations and things hanging up,”
Kelly Country Store is fun for the entire family...they say the magic will touch everyone ages one to 92 and beyond
