BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Are you keeping your New Year's resolution to eat right and exercise?

With the first month of the new year almost over, Eyewitness News This Morning anchors Patrick Taney and Ginger Geoffery asked that question to Jeremy Heim from the Buffalo Athletic Club.

Heim admits that the club starts strong with memberships at the beginning of the year, then activity does taper off.

He told Patrick and Ginger that a slow and steady routine will show results.

Remember, consult your physician before you begin and diet or exercise regiment.

Heim also said that the reality television shows make people think that you have to workout hours a day, which is not realistic. He said a few visits to the gym a week, or even a workout at home, will put you on the right path.

The Buffalo Athletic Club will be promoting a wellness competition among members in February.
