Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Public Schools could soon see big changes in its leadership.

School board members tell Channel 7 they plan to nominate Donald Ogilvie to the position of Superintendent of Buffalo Public Schools.

The nomination is expected to take place at a board meeting on Wednesday.

Ogilvie's name was mentioned as a front-runner early on in the search for who would replace Doctor Pamela Brown.

Ogilvie recently retired from his position as Superintendent of Erie 1 Boces.

Board members say they want Ogilvie for the job in part because of his knowledge of the challenges facing the school district and his relationship with the New York State Department of Education.
