Neighbors in Buffalo will have one extra day to roll their garbage and recycling totes to the curb.

Because Christmas and New Year's Day fall on a Monday, pick-up will be on a one-day delay for the next two weeks.

In addition, the city will hold an "After the Holidays Recycling Event" at the engineering garage, 1120 Seneca Street, on January 6th. Residents can drop off old televisions, computers and other electronics for free. Christmas trees, tree lights and used clothing will also be accepted.

Curbside Christmas tree pick-up in the city will take place from January 8th - 19th. People are asked not to put trees in garbage bags. They will be picked up separately from garbage.

Beginning this Saturday, the city will also have three tree drop-off locations open Monday - Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Cazenovia Park (golf course parking lot), Shoshone Park (parking lot at the foot of Beard) and in the rear parking lot of 1120 Seneca Street. The drop-off locations will be open until January 20th.
