Firefighters used 12 companies to battle a fire Thursday afternoon that destroyed a home at 3416 E. Blood Road, Marilla.
The house, which was three or four years old, is a total loss. There were no injuries reported. Sheriff's fire investigators are looking into the cause.
There are no fire hydrants on the road and nearby ponds were frozen, so several tanker trucks from various companies were needed to bring water to the scene.
