Tree cutting crews from Indiana and Michigan took a break from their trip across New York Saturday, pulling over in Batavia.
Bucket trucks and two-man crews stopped just off the NYS Thruway to grab food and supplies. They have been called to help assist in the clean up effort in downstate New York.
Hurricane Irene is expected to pack winds as high as 80 mph across the downstate region. The crews heading to the area from other states are packing chainsaws, chippers, and most importantly, manpower to assist in the clean up.
