Newfane, NY (WKBW-Release)
Saturday, the Town of Newfane held it's 25th annual Town Celebration. The event honored the 100th anniversary of the Newfane Free Library and the Miller Hose Fire Company. Over 1,000 people visited the town to watch a parade, visit with food, wine, and business vendors, and enjoy some family fun. This event started 25 years ago as The Newfane Sidewalk Sale and over the past few years it was know as August Fest.
On Friday, August 19, the 6th annual Bike Night through the Village of Newfane was held with hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts rumbling through the village. The newest addition to the celebration is Community Appreciation Day at the Olcott Beach Carousel Park, which will be held on August 21 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
