Buffalo police continue to investigate the death of a resident found dead in his apartment yesterday morning. Police were called to 40 Mary B. Talbert Blvd., in the vicinity of Clinton and Spring Streets at about 9AM Monday, after the body was discovered by family members checking on his welfare.

Found dead at the scene was Paul Anderson Sr., 61 years old, who lived alone.

"The victim had not been heard from since sometime on Friday," according to Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards.

"There were no signs of forced entry of the residence, yet their were signs that a burglary took place. Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation, attempting to find out who last spoke with the victim, and what property may have been taken," Richards said.

The case has been ruled a homicide, after an autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning at the Erie County Morgue.
