The sun is rising again on the former home of Gander Mountain in the Town of Tonawanda.
The Young Street location, which closed last year, will reopen this spring under the name Gander Outdoors. Parent company Camping World Holdings, which purchased assets of the bankrupt Gander Mountain, will reopen 69 nationwide stores by May.
Three stores in New York state will reopen - in the Town of Tonawanda, Syracuse and Kingston.
Like its predecessor, Gander Outdoors will specialize in products, equipment and services for hunting, fishing, marine and water sports, camping, and active and shooter sports.
