The state investigation into the death of Jose Hernandez-Rossy continues.

Hernandez-Rossy was shot by Buffalo police on May 7th.

Hernandez-Rossy was believed to have shot Officer Joe Acquino during an altercation after a traffic stop. Buffalo police maintain this version of events, but the New York State Attorney General's Office is investigating. A gun was not found, and one alternate version of the incident points to Officer Acquino's  ear beinginjured by an airbag in Hernandez-Rossy's vehicle.

After this most recent police altercation, a former Buffalo police officer is calling for the resignation of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown and Police Commissioner Dan Derenda.

Cariol Horne calls the death of Hernandez-Rossy a "blatant disregard for human life".

Horne was fire from the Buffalo Police Department in 2008 after a physical altercation with another officer while trying to arrest a suspect.

Horne has nowcreated a petitionto try and remove the mayor and police commissioner.

Horne is currently fighting for her pension to be reinstated.
