Former Buffalo Bills backup quarterback Tyler Thigpen was arrested and charged with driving under the influence Sunday morning in Myrtle Beach.

Thigpen was found asleep at the his wheel around 4:40 a.m. at a Myrtle Beach area Wendy's according to our sister station WPDE-TV.

Thigpen pulled up to the Wendy's drive thru, but after 20 minutes he hadn't left, according to police reports.

Local sheriff's deputies tried to wake Thigpen.  He woke-up several minutes later.

Thigpen was confused and didn't know where he was or what was happening when he woke up.

The NFL free agent quarterback refused field sobriety tests and was taken to the Myrtle Beach jail.

The former Coastal Carolina University quarterback posted bond at a hearing Sunday afternoon.

Thigpen played two seasons for the Buffalo Bills from 2011-2012.
