Flood waters have taken over parts of Western New York.

For 83-year-old Lorraine Slisz, flood waters continued to rise around her home.

"I couldn't get out because the water was too high," she said. "Within a half hour the whole place was surrounded."

Slisz had to be rescued from her home by the Marilla and Alden Fire Departments on a boat.

"The water was all over the place," she said. "It was unbelievable."

Not too far down the road from where Lorraine lives, the entire parking lot and surrounding area at the BellTower Village Condinums on Bowen Road in Lancaster was full of water.

"You need a boat to get through it," said one woman who lives in the condos.

Water and unsafe conditions caused evacuations to homes in Lancaster and Depew.

Police are urging everyone to stay out of flood waters and Cayuga Creek.
