One mother, three kids found safe after overnight fire

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - UPDATE: A Buffalo Fire Department chief tells 7 Eyewitness News a mother and three children have been found safe after this fire.

The fire is being investigated as suspicious.

The entire rear of a home on Buffalo's east side was on fire, overnight Wednesday.

Fire started on Box Avenue, between Fillmore and Kehr about 3:30 a.m.

Firefighters needed some extra equipment to help fight this fire from the outside.  It was quickly called to two alarms, meaning nearly 60 firefighters were on scene.

Police officers were called in to block the intersection as hoses were snaked through the streets.

One firefighter suffered an injury at the fire.
