Buffalo firefighters responded to the call of a two alarm fire on Delaware Avenue.
The fire started just before 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday Morning inside the Mr. Sandwich restaurant. The damage was contained to the restaurant only and did not spread to the apartments above.
The apartments are Kissling properties, about 30 units above the restaurant. Not all units are currently occupied.
Neighbors say they were alerted by the smoke detectors within their building and other neighbors knocking on their doors.
Firefighters were able to respond within minutes of the call.
No one, including residents and firefighters, was injured in the fire.
Buffalo Fire continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
