Falls police identify man who died in morning crash

Niagara Falls Police are investigating a deadly early Thursday morning crash. 

Police say Brian Lewis, 51, died in the crash.

According to officials, the crash happened around 6:55 a.m. on Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash and both had very serious damage, according to officials.

According to police, a 21-year-old Lockport man was driving a Ford Edge when he hit the side of Lewis's Hyundai.

Police say Lewis was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say the other driver was also taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation. They say he is fully cooperating in the investigation.

Niagara Falls Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
