Fallen Buffalo Police Lieutenant Craig Lehner will be honored in Washington, D.C. Tuesday during the 37th annual National Peace Officer's Memorial.

The memorial honors police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.  Thousands of people are expected to attend the service, which will be held on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol.  Lehner's family will be in attendance.  His sister spoke to 7 Eyewitness News about having her brother's name added to the memorial.

"It's an everything experience.  It's joy.  It's pride.  But it's also grieving still," said Lehner's sister Donna Wilson.  "In a way everybody lost him.  Because he was just so involved in the community."

Lehner died last October during an underwater training exercise in the Niagara River.
