The Cheektowaga man who admits to impersonating a police officer is now heading to jail.
27-year-old Corey Shepard was sentenced to six months in jail and 5 years probation on Tuesday. Shepard must also perform 200 hours of community service.
Last October, Shepard called 911 to report an erratic driver, claiming to be an off-duty police officer saying he was on his way home from work in Buffalo.
After becoming suspicious, Cheektowaga Police searched his home where they found police uniforms, a bullet proof vest, fake police id's, a parking ticket book from the Buffalo Police Department along with other police related items.
Shepard pleaded guilty to the charges last January.
