Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz is asking Governor Cuomo to consider offering Erie County the $2.7 million dollars towards an opioid treatment center that was initially offered to Broome County.

Broome County has not officially accepted or declined the offer, however they had not been rushing to add an opioid center to the area.

"Well if they don't want the money then I think it's fair to say we can go after this. It's simple as that" County Executive Mark Poloncarz said.

As of Now, Broome County said they will reevaluate the proposal in January of 2018.
