The Richardson, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Projex will join forces to fill the night with music and light.

'Enlighten' is a celebration of Buffalo's soaring social resurgence. The Richardson-Olmsted campus, which was previously abandoned, is now home to a one-of-a-kind showcase happening in the Queen City this Friday.

On the campus' South Lawn, visitors can get the best view of custom-designed light mapping on the Towers. A local  projectionist group, PROJEX, designed the visuals and will cast lights on the building's south and west exterior.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a concert synced to the light show, featuring music by renowned composers such as Beethoven, Handel, and Mahler.

BPO's Resident Conductor Stefan Sanders said the composer's selected for the showcase all lived with mental illness, which connects to the Richardson's history as an insane asylum.

The Richardson Olmstead campus has completed the first phase of its redevelopment project and invite community members to enjoy the live display.

The event starts at 9 p.m. on 444 Forest Avenue and is free to the public.
