Two lab puppies (1 male, 1 female) were found stranded on Boston State Road in the early morning of May 27th. The male puppy had scarring on his face.

The puppies (ages 4-6 months) were found at 1 a.m. by State Troopers and delivered to Boston, N.Y. Dog Control. According to Boston Dog Control the puppies were incredibly fearful and afraid of all touch. They have since been moved to Sadie's Safe Harbor Canine Rescue to help with their recovery.

No arrests have been made as of yet, with dog control saying there is no evidence of dog fighting.

Similarly, the Town of Aurora Highway department found three lab puppies with similar scarring and of similar ages. As of now there is nothing that directly connects these two instances, however Boston Dog Control said it is "a little too coincidental."

Another lab pup was found in Orchard Park on South Abbott Road 30 minutes before the puppies in Boston. According to Orchard Park Animal control the male puppy had identical scarring to the others, which they believe to be bite marks. That puppy was adopted.

If anyone has information about the found puppies, the Aurora Highway Dept. can be contacted at (716) 652-4050.
