A Depew man is behind bars after trying to rob a Northwest Bank. Village of Depew Police say 31-year-old Jeremy Feeney, of Meadowlawn, handed a teller a note demanding cash at the bank on George Urban Boulevard in the Village of Depew around 9:00 am Wednesday.

Police say the teller wasn’t harmed and Feeney took off afterward on a bicycle.

Investigators searched the areas where the robbery occurred about an hour later, located Feeney, and arrested him without any trouble.

Feeney was charged with Attempted Robbery. He’s being held in the Erie County Holding Center, set to appear back in Village of Depew court Tuesday, May 30 for a felony hearing.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
