A crucial deadline for critics of Carl Paladino happens Monday. Anyone planning to file a petition for his removal with the New York State Education Department must notify Paladino Monday.
It's been one month since Paladino's controversial statements in ArtVoice, so the deadline to file for his removal based on those comments is in place for Monday.
So far, the NYS Education Department has only received one formal petition, from the New York State United Teachers.
Both the Buffalo Board of Education and Buffalo Parent-Teacher Organization have said they will file applications for the Buffalo Board of Education member's removal.
The Buffalo Board of Education voted to hire an attorney. The BOE will have a bit more time to serve Paladino with his notice, because their petition deals with Paladino's divulging of information from an executive session.
