A Livingston County woman was arrested early Friday morning for DWI following a traffic stop early Friday morning.
Wyoming County Sheriff's say 33-year-old Laurie Bownds of Nunda was stopped when she was located driving southbound while entirely in the northbound lane.
Bownds failed sobriety tests and was subsequently taken into custody. Deputies say she had three passengers in the car, including two children ages 8 and 4.
Sheriffs also found an open container of alcohol and marijuana.
The passengers were released to a sober third party while Bownds was transported to the Warsaw Police Department. She was later processed at the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office and charged with two counts of Aggravated DWI - Child in Vehicle (Leandra's Law), DWI, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Failing to Keep Right, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Bownds was arraigned in Town of Warsaw Court where her license was suspended. She was scheduled to return to Town of Wethersfield Court on April 2nd.
She was then committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5 thousand cash bail or $25 thousand bond.
