AMHERST, N.Y. ( WKBW ) Three University at Buffalo students on the North campus called police to say their room was being raided by masked men.
However, when police arrived, it was the students who called police in the first place who were taken into custody.
Those North campus students first told police the masked men stole cash, but then later admitted it was marijuana that was taken from their room.
Those three students are being charged with drug possession, and filing false statements.
Some U.B. students are not surprised by the arrests.
One student told Eyewitness News, "There are definitely some drug users in every single campus, not just the University at Buffalo, so it's not just a problem here, it might be a problem at other universities within Buffalo and the U.S."
As for the masked men who raided the room, Police are still looking for them.
