FORT ERIE, ON (WKBW) - Two Fort Erie men were arrested Thursday following a search warrant.
According to police, Detectives from #5 District Criminal Investigations Branch, #5 District Uniform Patrol, #3 District Street Crime and the Canine Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Buffalo Road in Fort Erie.
As a result of the warrant, 34-year-old Phillip Popering and 30-year-old William Brown were arrested, and a quantity of cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana, currency and drug paraphernalia was seized.
Both men were charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Possession of a Schedule II Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Possession of Proceeds of Crime contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Popering and Brown were held in custody at 3 District in Welland and later released on an OIC/PTA Undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
