ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Rochester man was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly assaulting three officers.

Police say they were dispatched to 599 Lake Avenue for the report of a trespasser. Upon arrival, officers learned from the landlord that a man regularly sleeps in the hallways at the property.

The landlord requested the removal of the man, 25-year-old Anthony Giles. As officers were preparing to take him into custody, Giles flung both arms rearward, pinning them against the wall.

Giles then physically fought with the officers, fell down a set of stairs, got to his feet and fled the area.

Two of the officers were treated for contusions and released from the hospital. The third was uninjured.

Giles was eventually taken into custody, arrested, and charged with Assault, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Resisting Arrest.
