(Genesee County, NY) -- A revolver stolen from WNY turned up at a home in Indiana, earlier this week.
Authorities in Putnam County said the .22-caliber revolver was discharged at a home in Reelsville, Indiana on Monday. No one was hurt in the incident. Deputies say the man who fired the gun has surrendered it.
Putnam County deputies ran the gun's serial number and learned it was among more than 30 firearms stolen in 1974 from a store in town of Stafford.
The gun will be sent back to Genesee County, where police will attempt to return it to the original owner.
