A New York State Trooper's vehicle was struck on the I-190 in Niagara Falls earlier this morning.
Around 8 a.m., Eric Smith of Lewiston, was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 when he lost control of his vehicle on snow and ice.
Smith exited the roadway and drove through the center median. His car struck an unmarked New York State Police Tahoe that was responding to another accident.
The trooper was transported to an area hospital and has minor injuries
Smith was charged with failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent.
Police are still investigating.
