State Police Make Numerous DWI Arrests Over the Weekend

(WKBW releases) State police made numerous DWI arrests over the weekend.

 

According to news releases:

New York State Police based out of the SP Clarence barracks arrested BRIAN E. WHITE (age 41) of Clarence, NY for Felony DWI at approximately 9:45 PM Friday night, after stopping him for speeding on Wherle Rd. in the Town of Clarence.  He was processed at SP Alden and charged with Felony DWI after it was learned he had a prior DWI conviction.  His reportable BAC was 0.12% and is to return to the Town of Clarence court on May 24, 2012.

New York State Police based out of the SP Warsaw barracks arrested DAVID M. ROOME (age 49) of Geneseo, NY for DWI at approximately 1:45 AM Saturday morning, after stopping him for speeding on St-20A in the Town of Sheldon.  He was processed at the SP Warsaw barracks where his reportable BAC was .15% and is to return to the Town of Sheldon court on May 7, 2012.

New York State Police based out of the SP Elma barracks arrested ADAM G. GRUPKA (age 27) of Cheektowaga, NY for DWI at approximately 2:30 AM Saturday morning, after stopping him for crossing the solid double center line on French Rd. in the Town of Cheektowaga.  He was processed at the SP Elma barracks where his reportable BAC was 0.12% and is to return to the Town of Cheektowaga court on May 9, 2012.

New York State Police based out of the SP Alden barracks arrested RYAN M. PETRIE (age 24) of Williamsville, NY for Aggravated DWI at approximately 3:20 AM Saturday morning, after stopping him for Failure to Keep Right on Transit Rd. in the Town of Clarence.  He was processed at the SP Alden barracks where his reportable BAC was 0.23% and is to return to the Town of Clarence court on

   
April 28, 2012, Orchard Park, NY – This evening at approximately 11:32 PM State Police stopped a vehicle on Newton Rd in the town of Orchard Park, NY for failing to keep right.  The operator KEVIN R. WOLF, age 37 of East Aurora, NY failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving while Intoxicated.  He was processed at SP Boston and charged with DWI, BAC of .17 %.  Mr. WOLF was issued tickets returnable to the town of Orchard Park Court.

April 29, 2012, Lancaster, NY – At approximately 1:45 AM State Police out of Clarence stopped a vehicle for making a left turn on red on Transit Rd at Wehrle Dr in the town of Lancaster.  The operator JOHN R. YUNGBLUTH, age 25 of Williamsville, NY failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.  He was processed at SP Alden where a breath test revealed a BAC of .11 %.  Mr. YOUNGBLUTH was issued tickets returnable to the town of Lancaster Court.

April 29, 2012, Elma, NY – At approximately 2:56 AM State Police out of SP Elma monitored a report from West Seneca Police dispatch of a vehicle operating southbound in the northbound lane of St-400.  Troopers located a black Chevrolet Impala exiting the 400 onto Transit Rd operating in the wrong direction.   The operator DAVID C. SETTLECOWSKI, age 27 of Orchard Park, NY failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.  Mr. SETTLECOWSKI was found to be in possession of a small baggie containing cocaine and three pipes with marihuana residue.  He was transported to Mercy Hospital for a blood draw.  Mr. SETTLECOWSKI was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  He was released on tickets returnable to the town of Elma Court.

Fredonia Troopers arrested Dunkirk man for DWI and CPCS 7th
On April 29, 2012, at approximately 3:00 AM, Fredonia Troopers arrested Eddie Rosas Jr, 36, of Dunkirk for DWI and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.  The arrest came after Troopers noticed that Rosas' vehicle had no lit plate lamps.  A breath test revealed Rosas to have a BAC of .12%.  He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine and an open container of beer.
 
Charges are to be answered in the Town of Dunkirk Court on May 14, 2012, at 7:00 PM.
