Second Person From Chautauqua County Accused of Violating SAFE Act

FALCONER, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Falconer man becomes the second person in Chautauqua County to be arrested in violation of the new NY SAFE Act.

According to Ellicott Police, 23-year-old William Giambelluca sold a shotgun to another person in Falconer for money.

The gun was later recovered and identified by the owner as one he had stolen on April 29th.

Police charged Giambelluca for allegedly committing Safe Act gun law violations for a private sale of a firearm and make the sale without conducting a National Instant Criminal Background check through a dealer.

Giambelluca was arraigned in Ellicott Court and placed in Chautauqua County Jail.
