Police Searching for Suspects in Niagara County Burglary

Newfane, N.Y. (WKBW) The Niagara County Sheriff's Office are searching for two suspects involved in an apparent burglary and attempted robbery that happened in the Town of Newfane.

According to investigators, the incident happened at a home on McClew Road over the weekend when the suspects allegedly entered the home through an unlocked kitchen door and demanded money.

One of the suspects was described as a white male in his mid 20's, around 5'5" weighing about 200lbs. He had had dark eyes, a tan button down dress coat and a tan bandana covering his face according to investigators.

The man allegedly threatened the victims inside the home with a black handgun, demanding money.

The second suspect is believed to be a white female, about 20 years old.

Police say she was wearing a dark colored coat with a brown or tan dishtowel over her face. She was not reportedly armed.

The pair did not get away with any money and fled the home.

Several deputies and troopers responded to the call and searched the area throughout the night but were not able to locate the suspects.

The homeowners/ ictims were not injured.

Investigators say Niagara County has experienced multiple armed robberies in the past few weeks. It is not known if this incident is related to previous robberies.
