Here are the results from saturation patrols overnight--cracking down on DWI operators.
TROOPERS MAKE DWI AND DRUG ARRESTS DURING DWI SATURATION
Troopers based out of Troop ‘A’, Zone II, made the following arrests during a DWI saturation detail Friday night and into Saturday morning:
PETER BUSH, 55, of Clarence was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated after being stopped on Harris Hill Road for speeding and failure to keep right. BUSH was transported to SP-Clarence where he submitted to a breath test of .20%. BUSH was issued tickets returnable in the T/Clarence Court on August 9, 2011 at 5pm.
MICHAEL TRYBUSKIEWICZ, 27, of E. Amherst was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on N. Millgrove Road at Genesee Street in the Town of Alden for a broken taillight. TRYBUSKIEWICZ was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Alden Court on August 4, 2011 at 7:00pm.
ERIC CASSIDY, 26, of Cheektowaga was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Harris Hill Road in the Town of Clarence for failure to keep right. CASSIDY was transported back to SP-Clarence where he submitted to a breath test of .13%. CASSIDY was issued tickets returnable in the Town of Clarence Court on August 18, 2011 at 7:00pm.
JOHN H. STRESSINGER, 44, of Boston, NY was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Boston State Road in the Town of Boston for failure to use designated lane, and talking on a cell phone while driving. He was processed at SP Boston where his reportable BAC was 0.13%, and is to return to the Town of Boston Court on August 22, 2011 at 6:00 PM.
JERRY A. KAJFASZ, 50, of Lancaster, NY was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Transit Rd in the Town of Elma, for speeding, 60 mph in designated 45 mph zone. He was processed at SP Elma where his reportable BAC was 0.09%, and he was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Elma court on August 4, 2011.
The Erie County Sheriff's department made two driving while intoxicated arrests overnight. One in the Town of Newstead and the other in the Village of Springville.
In Newstead, Deputies Ben Pisa and John Hanna responded to a citizen complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on Main Rd. The Deputies located the vehicle, driven by 24 yr old Neal A. Jenneve of North Tonawanda, and initiated a traffic stop. Field sobriety tests were performed with the result that Jenneve was arrested for DWI. He was transported to the Erie Co. Sheriff's Office substation in Clarence where a chemical breath test was administered. The test revealed Jenneve's blood alcohol content to be .13%. He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Newstead Court on a future date.
In the Village of Springville, Deputy Timothy Colling was on patrol and stopped a vehicle driven by 50 yr old Charles D. Zimmer of Springville for having no plate lamp. Further investigation revealed that Zimmer was intoxicated. Zimmer was arrested for DWI and taken to the Erie Co Sheriff's Office substation in Springville where a chemical breath test was administered. The test revealed Zimmer's blood alcohol content to be .23%
almost three times the legal limit. Zimmer was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Springville Court at a future date
